Lovely End... or is it really the end
Is it really the end of the RC series... probably, given certain events in the book... is it the end of these characters... probably not. There is enough opening at the end to continue the story with a different series. I think KT might have built enough of a following to support that. Just encourage all your friends to buy this book, if you want to see more. B/c it all comes down to money, unfortunately.

That aside... the title plot (Order 66) seemed far too ancillary (secondary) to be worthy. But that is my one major nit... and it's not even that big of a deal. It did seem rushed, but the rest of the story was so good... character-wise, plot-wise, dialogue... that the lapse in dwelling on Order 66 is forgivable.

If you're a RC fan... go for this book, it's definitely a worthwhile read. If you don't like Mandalorians... then it may not be for you.

Order 66: Worth Buying in Hardback
Before buying Order 66, I read all the other Republic Commando books and loved them. They are all excellent when it comes to juggling several characters and making them all three-dimensional. Order 66 continues the tradition of the others and really makes these characters come to life.

I wish that the main characters had more of a role within Order 66, so that more of the conflict could be explored. However, I understand Traviss' decision not to do so, as the only Jedi Delta and Omega routinely deal with are not their commanding officers, but their friends.

All in all, I think this is an excellent book. It's worth ponying up the extra money for a hardback, but you won't suffer too much if you wait for paperback. Plus a paperback would look better with the other paperbacks in the series on your shelf, rather than three soft covers and a hard.

Absolutely Amazing! KANDOSII!!!
This whole series is fantastic. I laughed, cried, cheered, cursed and hoped. I found it to be a refreshing look at what the 'clones' actually did and how they contributed to the republic. Who would have thought that each clone had a different personality! SPECTACULAR! I pray there are more to come! I'd love to know the trials Kad'ika goes through!

Kandosii Kar'ika! OYA!

Ke nu'jurkadir sha Mando'ade.

Another reason to respect the Mandalorians
Karen Travvis delivers another great book. I have been a fan of this series since I picked up the first book. She delivers a lot more drama and danger in this one.

With Order 66 on the horizon, the Jedi are on the brink of falling. However there are still those among the Clones who aren't so swayed by the order. These men are even willing to put their lives on the line for those Jedi that they have come to call part of their dysfunction little family. There may be bad blood between Mandalorians and Jedi, but sometimes they can still see eye to eye. This story is filled with emotion as some of the characters that we have been enjoying have to face some of the hardest choices that they have ever had to make. Who lives, who dies; read this book and find out.

Incomplete
I loved the prequels, I dislike the killing of a central character it was very important in the history and I suffer with all the other characters and I dislike the end; it's very incomplete.
