A very enlightening and sobering read!
This book will make you sad and angry at the same time. We need to learn from Ms. Gabriel's experience if we want to spare our nation the same fate as Lebanon's. Highly recommended.

Well written TRUTH from a survivor
Well written, chilling accounts of horror of war. I had no idea what was going on in Christian Lebanon. She is articulate in her description of America's fate if we don't wake up to the threat we live with on a daily basis. A VERY good read.

Because they Hate-A must read for every American
This book is easy to understand, explicitly detailed, full of information regarding activities going on in America RIGHT NOW that are compromising America as a nation and the safety of us all.I am SO glad I read this book and will not be the same because of it. It opened my eyes to the fact that just because us hardworking family people don't have time to make keeping up on our nations political activities a priority, doesnt mean there aren't people and organizations who haven't made effecting our legislation their TOP priority. Believe me, they are making a difference the rest of us are going to regret not waking up to and Brigettes book explains the details of this explicitly.

excellent book
Excellent book, saw her on TV and ordered the book on Amazon. Very well written and documented. I can't believe how people can live thru such horrors and come out stronger. You won't be disappointed in this book. Although we need to be kind to everyone " We Need To Watch Our Back."

Interesting, very interesting!!
I found this book very interesting. I, like many other readers have comments and questions. I will give comments only.
1- BG at times sounds like a self loather. She states in the beginning of her book that she grew up priviledged. Right there that is an indication of her ideal of 'us' and 'them' almost sounding braggadocious. Then the war comes along and disturbs her norm and now it is an all out attack on arab muslims.
2- There are zealots in every religion. That's why I find it ironic how she champions the USA for everything good. HELLO!!!! America as wonderful as it is, has a bad history. Did she not check those facts? Does she think Europeans came here and asked the Natives permission to set up shop? No. They took by force in the name of the king, the queen and God (christianity). And in the midst, slaughtered millions of native Indians who did not conform to western ways or stood in the way of claiming regions which are called 'states' today. Same thing occured in Australia, New Zealand, Africa, the Carribean. Europe took by force, thus killing the natives or enslaving them.
3- People from Lebanon are of phoenetician ancestry?! COME ON!!! All of them? Was there any miscegenation? (of course there was, that is why she is so dark). Then she says in her book that her town had all types of people except blacks. Did she not have a mirror? The Middle East is closer to Africa than Europe. She should have at least counted herself, then she could have said there was one... "ME!"
4- She has been 'white washed'. She says exactly what America, particularly white America wants to hear. Most white Americans are intolerant of anyone non-white. It's great that she has the freedom to write and say what she wants, but had she been here 50 years ago, she'd have to ride the back of the bus like most people of color. But today she is riding the bus all the way to the bank.
5- In the book there is much going on, if you read between the lines. It goes beyond religion. She has issues. Has anyone seen her new book 'They must be Stopped'? On the cover she has the bluest of blue eyes I have ever seen. Right there that tells you she has an internal clash w/ not only religions and cultures, but with herself.
