Awesomessnessity (Ahh sum es ness it ee)
I truthfully adored this book. BIG SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!! Although Bella was in fact way needy as in like "Im gonna do dangerous stuff 'Cliff diving' and 'motorcycle crashing' and other potentially lethal things so I can hear the voice of Edward". However when Bella started to spend more time with Jacob then it started to get better. It was also a little confusing when they got caught by the Volterra and taken to that layer place. But I really did enjoy it and if youve read the first book then you simply must read the second. 2008-11-16

I just never like the endings.
This review contains spoilers!!!!
I absolutely love the series but when I finish reading...I always feel let down. I feel like I'm always waiting for this rush that just never seems to come. I know they leave me starving for the next book but I almost get uninterested at the end. Like with Twilight and the prom ending... and Bella refusing Edwards proposal in the New Moon ending. It just all really aggravates me. Bella is annoying to me lately. I hope that changes because other than these few little things I love the series and the way the author writes.

Terrible and disgusting, this book deserves no praise.
I honestly don't think I'll ever want to go back to read this book again. I would never recommend it to anyone either. Spoilers ahead, by the way....
First off, Edward leaves Bella. He's terrible about it too, and it was around this time that I started realizing that Edward really isn't the prince that he pretends to be. What happens after this? Well, Bella mopes. No, she doesn't mope, that's an understatement. She turns into a complete zombie- a description she uses herself. This is supposed to be the book in the series where we see the development of her love for Jacob, but all I ever think of when I think of this book is her constant whining.
I found it disgusting to see how clear it was that Bella was entirely co-dependent. She ignores her friends, and then when she pretends to want to hang out with them, she puts them in danger. Why, you might ask? Because she's having hallucinations. She hears Edward's words of caution in her head whenever she goes near danger, so naturally she goes out of her way through the rest of her book to put herself in the way of danger. It comes to the point where she's jumping off a cliff in order to hear his voice. Is this supposed to truly be a role model for all the young girls reading this series?
I suggest you not read this book, it will most definitely try to confuse you with it's purple prose, and Edward's pretty words, but beneath that it's nothing but a teenage girl and her issues with obsession.

Umm.....
the book started off great, the ending was even better - but the middle of the book like pages 120 to 400, just seemed a little on a the bland side. It was like a pepperoni pizza, only half of the pizza had the pepperoni and most of the cheese on it. 2008-11-15

Best series, a must read
The Twilight series is the best I have ever read. Book 2 was my least favorite, but still a must read. This series made me experience about every emotion. Very hard to put it down. 2008-11-13
