awesome!
I think this book was awesome! I could not put it down (like the previous twilight books). Bravo Stephanie Meyer! I hesitated at first, because I am well beyond my teen years, but am glad I persevered. I believe that people are over analyzing this book. For one thing, this series is a fantasy and vampires don't really exist, so the fact that Bella got pregnant by a vampire needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I've been reading science fiction/fantasy books for 15 years and this series is one of the best! I have never criticized a fantasy book by saying -hey, this isn't possible, because it is after all, make believe!
The book could not have ended better for me. Of course the characters would have to change a little due to the circumstances presented to them. I loved the new Bella. My only fault is that the book had to end. Maybe someday, we will hear more about the Cullen family. Please?!

THAT'S The End?
I started reading the series before it hit fangirl status, and for people who read the books because of the story and not "cauze itz sew koolz!!11!!" this is basically for you.
In my opinion the story did not end, she simply stopped writing it. The 4th book, while it was a good book, seemed hurried and slapped together. I did fall in love with the books, and with this book the story did not end for me. There is still a lot of books that could be taken from this series if she chooses to write them.
Each section of the book, each stand point, could have been written as books themselves and delved deeper into detail. Instead it just seemed like she hurried to get the book out to appease the gaggle of fangirls that were waiting for it.
Even with the rewrite of the first book, the story won't be finish, just not continued. I still have all these questions that won't be answered. Such and such person got together.... then what? Shes not going to answer that question, She just left it up in the air for our own imaginations. For me, it's not my story to write, therefore I will never have that question answered.
So thus ends my very first review on Amazon. Maybe one day she will listen to the outcry of her fans and continue with the story. I look forward to that day.

Not at all what I was expecting ( SPOILERS!!)
I waited for " Breaking Dawn" and I was so excited to buy it. I stayed up until midnight to buy it which I havent done since the 7th Harry Potter. I had my own theories about how the book would end. I would have liked to see this final book be about Bella and Edward adjusting to marriage and maybe holding off her transformation. Instead it was frankly, dissappointing. First of all I think Renneesme was completely unneccessary. Instead of seeing interactions between Edward and Bella we are forced to endure page after page of Bella and Reneesme. The only time we hear of Edward is when Bella is transformed and wants to have sex! There was even a part of the book that I skipped, there is a scence where Jacob is talking with the pack and it goes on and on and on I had to skip ahead. Then there was the lackluster ending with the " fight" between the Cullens and the Volturi. That was page after page of standing in the meadow. I did like " Twilight" but after that I feel the series because of being dragged out for so long lost some of it's magic. I liked it but I definetely had some big problems with it. 2008-11-15

Its Actually Pretty Darn Good...I listened again and I REALLY ENJOYED this BOOK
{1st, all mine were in the form of "Audio Books"
Not Hard Cover. Guess I clicked on the wrong Link}
I loved the 1st book so much I went online and ordered all the rest and they arrived JUST as I finished my 1st book. In a matter of 3 days time, I was done with the 1st 3 audio books and so excited to hear the last and finale chapter so I could envision all of Bella and Edwards stunning Wedding Details.
(What a Waste) not much said about the wedding really or the dress but there are much better parts to come anyway.
The rest of the Book was Pretty darn good and although Most People here (giving reviews) say the "fight sceen" towards the end of the book wasnt worth "listening" to or "reading" (which ever you did) it was and I found it VERY NECESSARY to the Stories Plot Line.
You get to learn about a WHOLE Lot More about other Vampires Lives (well not "lives" really) but what they do and such. and their "Families" and "Powers"
I don't know about the plot line in the Hard or Soft Cover Books, but I can say that without a doubt the AUDIO Books (all 4 of them) are Fantastic and held my interest the entire time {with exception to Bella getting Pregnate}
A VAMPIRE IS DEAD. He Cannot MAKE BABIES! Not in his Dead Lifetime not in any Other WRITER of Vampires LIFETIME has a Vampire made an Actually Baby with a Human, yet there it was, Bella telling Edward: I THINK IM PREGNANT!"
In my opinion that is Just DUMB, but a Big part of the 4th story so it IS necessary. In addition, it's fully explained!
And if I recall from someone else's review they said they hated it when Jacob had to DIE and been torn to shreds in the end! Well all I can say about that is: WHAT BOOK WE'RE YOU READING??? It didn't happen in the audio book at all it was a GREAT ENDING ~ or as they say In STORY BOOK LAND: They All Lived Happily EVER AFTER
Tomorrow I'm going to see the Movie with my Son and his Girlfriend...the reviews say it Blows.. I don't GO BY REVIEWS. I will judge for myself...as should everyone else HERE
All I can say is EVERYONE of the Audio books in this Series were GREAT and staying in my Collection
And I'm sure if the Movie(s) hold true to the Books story line.. they will be just as good as the Audio Book (Books)
P.S.
I don't know how a "ONE STAR Rating" showed up ON THE TOP of my Review but I give ALL 4 AUDIO BOOKS 5+ STARS and I hope she writes more in the future about Bella & Edwards baby as she grows up.. In addition, her "possible" new FRIEND / Lover / Rival ~ and about Charlie and Sue Hooking up.... THAT would make for other Great Plot Lines
P.S.S I did HATE Jacobs Narration, Just hated it in this book. It should have been Bella, alone speaking in all 4 books for each person.

How did this book get past the editing process?
I cannot imagine what might have gone through the author's mind to cause her to write a book like this one. I read up until somewhere in Jacob's Book, and I could not go on.
It made no sense whatsoever. Somehow Edward and Bella have a child, even though in all their years, none of the local vampires have ever heard of a hybrid baby. The baby in itself should not exist, because it's not possible for Edward to have a child. Yes, I know Meyer has explained this already, but her explanation failed at logic.
Worse than that, Jacob imprints on the baby. Renesmee, I mean. Are you kidding me? How can people not see how totally weird that is? Why do people think this is romantic, when it's actually totally sick?
I'm glad this is the end of it, I don't want Meyer to continue her career as an author. She shouldn't have written Twilight to begin with, but she really dropped the bomb with Breaking Dawn. Terrible, absolutely terrible.
