Just what I was looking for!
I was so happy to read this book, it was fantastic, and so vivid. I enjoyed this book fully, and found my self wrapped up in this book just as I was the first. The characters in these books are so well done, and have such strong bonds you only wish you were part of the action. Great book! Looking foreward to the next one. 2009-01-04

NOT JUST FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
I enjoyed reading this book very much. Even though Edward wasn't always there himself, I always had the feeling he wasn't too far away. This is such a great love story. I will look forward to reading books three and four.
I mentioned in my title of this review, that this series is not just for young people. I was a little hesitant about reading this series because of the classification of being young adult. But, after reading some of the reviews on amazon from people that were beyond teen years, I decided to start reading Twilight. I am so glad I did. Oh, by the way, I am 56 years old.

Love this one too!! Warning Spoiler!!!
Couldn't put this book down!!! I love Jacob even though I was so sad that Edward wasn't in the book until toward the end. I wished that Edward would've been more involved maybe in her dreams or something. I guess his voice will have to do. It was at least something to hold onto until he came back. I was a little surprised that Bella didn't think that he left her because he wanted her to live a safe and normal human life. I understand it though because Bella never understands why a beautiful being like Edward is with her to begin with. This just plays into Bella's want to become a vampire so she sees herself as his equal not a weak and average human. I can't wait for the next book I'm hoping for some wedding bells. Waiting on the UPS guy right now. 2009-01-03

What more could you ask for?
This is the best book series that exists. I'm so surprised how flawless this book is. I recommend this book to anyone. READ THIS BOOK IT'LL KEEP YOU GUESS 'TILL THE END! 2009-01-03

Empty, meaningless.
This book was definitely a step down from Twilight, and Twilight was never that great to begin with, so that means this book is pretty low. Although I love he fact that Stephenie Meyer gave Jacob a chance to blossom and stand his ground, he was honestly the only thing keeping this book half-way afloat. He really did capture my interest, and I found I was cheering him on all throughout the book.
But, one of the major flaws about this novel is that it gives young girls a bad example: You need a man for your life to be complete. Okay, NO! Women today are strong and independent, capable of living and functioning perfectly without a man to guide you. Bella was just being a wimp. She lived without Edward for the first 17 years of her life and she was fine. All of the sudden he leaves and BAM, she can't live. I mean, of course, I would mope for a few weeks, but eventually I'd get my act together and find someone who COULD love me. Come on people. And what pisses me off is that the only time Bella comes anywhere close to being normal again, it's with Jacob. Again, she needed a MAN to pick up the pieces. Pfft.
Honestly, Jacob is the only reason why New Moon is getting two stars.
