Eclipse (The Twilight Saga, Book 3)

Though this book just made me hate Jacob more than I already did, and it also made me begin to hate bella, that's what made it exciting. I couldn't wait to find out what horrible thing Jacob was about to do, what stupid thing Bella was gonna do, and what insanely amazing thing Edward was gonna do next.

The plot is enticing, it sucks you in as soon as you open the book. It feels as though you are standing a few feet away and watching everything that's happening.

This book also gets more in depth with some of the characters we haven't heard a lot from up till now, like Rosalie and Jasper. It's interesting to hear how they became vampires, and it makes me think of them differently.

Some people say the plot is unoriginal. But just because the story involves a love triangle and Stepanie Meyer didn't INVENT love traingles, well, it doesn't make it unoriginal. The characters all have their own unique personality. The descriptions are amazing, I can picture every single detail about every single one of the characters exactly.

Whenever i meet anyone, I always ask them if they've read the Twilight series. If they say no, even if I barely know them, I'll tell them they HAVE to read them NOW or the world will stop spinning. Well, THEIR world will, at least. I can't remember my life without Twilight. They're the best books I have ever read.

I ordered this for my kids which wasn't available in store anywhere. Amazon had it at a good price and shipping was fast.

Eclipse continues as a good "book 3" in the Twilight series and like the others is a very easy read. Hard to put down.

I was incredibly disappointed by the third installment in this series. I loved "Twilight" and liked "New Moon." However, I ended up putting down "Eclipse" about 3/4 of the way through. It seemed like everything in this book wasn't as good as it was in the first 2 - the writing, the characters, the plot. I found myself simply not liking ANY of the major characters. Bella is whiny and needy, Edward is controlling beyond belief, Jacob is not even the same character we first met in "Twilight." The writing itself is bland and unimaginative. I finally decided to stop reading the book when I realized that I just didn't care what happened. Another reviewer wrote that they wished they had stopped reading the series with number 1, and I have to agree.

I could not put down the book, the whole series it was great reading for mother & daugher.
