Maniac Magee

Well i thought the book maniac magee was not a really good book. My teacher was reading the book to us in class. The begining sounded so boring it needed some more work. The book was not intersting to me so i just stopped paying attention. Over all rating I gave the book 1 star.

I think the story wasnt that great.I didnt think it was very good because it was only about mainiac magee running away and him beating every one in all the sports.

I thought the book was good, but i didn't like the ending. It just leaves you hanging. The rest of the book was exciting and adventureous. I hope there is a second book, because I want to read it.

Maniac Magee

This book talks about a boy who runs away. His parents die in a car crash. When he runs away he has no home. Some day he meets a girl named Amanda. She helps him a lot with food . Amanda's parents don't like Magee so they send Amanda with her uncle. Magee meets a couch who helps him with fod and a place to sleep . some days later he dies and Magee is again with no home .Amanda comes back and tells Magee if he wanted to live with her so Magee goes to Amanda's house and live happy ever after.

As a kid Magee's parents die in a car crash. In an instant he became an orphan. He was sent to his aunt and uncle. One day he was doing a play on stage, he froze, then he ran away and never went back home. But he eventually met a girl named Amanda Beale; she is a little black girl. At the end of the story Maniac stays with Amanda and her family, and once again he has a place to call home. The theme of this story is homelessness because for a long while in the book Maniac Magee doesn't have a hom. He stays in parks, zoos, and even the buffalo pin. The moral of this book is that you should never give up because in the story all the time he spends running away, and staying in places a normal person would never stay, he never once gave up hope. There was only one thing that I disliked about the book Maniac Magee and that's the ending. I don't know I guessed I expected more from the ending, for it to end dramatically. But never the less the book was great and I enjoyed it.
