A decent end to the Commando Saga
It was a decent end to the Commando Saga but it could have been done better. Typical with most of the Star Wars crap LucasFilm, LucasArts and LucasBooks are releasing nowadays. There are still a couple loose ends that hopefully Traviss will get around to tying up with one more Commando book, but odds are this is it. I liked it for the fact that it brought about the end to the Commando Saga that we've all been invested in since Republic Commando but it still left me kinda wanting with certain aspects of it.

EXCELLENT sequel to a great series...
It fell right in with the previous stories and flowed smoothly... I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope there are more books to come...

Disappointing end to the promising Republic Commando series
I was hoping for a climactic end to the RC series, showing how the clones of Delta & Omega squads would react to Order 66 but in truth the Order is almost incidental to the main plot of the clones' escape plan.In fact Order 66 is only enacted towards the very end of the book. Too many story threads are left unresolved and too many pointless new subplots introduced. But guess what? there's a new book in the pipeline : "Imperial Commando" which explains why this book isn't a proper finale to the series.

Buy this book!
Excellent conclusion to the Republic Commando Series! Seriously, it is a must buy if you have read and liked Karen's previous work.

Order 66, Not Bad...
Traviss did better than expected, but my expectations were low. In reading some of her other work, like in Legacy of the Force, she isn't my favorite author by comparison to the others in that series or NJO. She tends to make wimps out of heros. I thought this would be a real blood bath as it parallels episode 3. However, due to the clone perspective, this wasn't as unsettling as Revenge of the Sith. Traviss continued to develop the clone and Mando characters well. I like seeing the story from their perspective and can't wait to see how it develops under the Empire. Some SW fans may be disappointed in the treatment of the Jedi during this series, but hey, they brought it on themselves. Right? Right! Suffer!
