Not as good as the first 2 books
I really enjoyed Mac's story in the first 2 books. I have to say I am a little disapointed in number 3. Too much time is spent going over things that occured in the first 2 books. This book also seems to lack focus and the story seems to be for better lack of words "dragged out". It also lacks substance. As a reader you feel frustrated because nothing really happens in this book and yet you have to wait again for yet another book. I really liked the start of this series and want to see how it ends but frustrated about the books in between that don't seem to go anywhere, feel like this book was just filler. 2008-10-27

Don't bother!!
I was very frustrated again with this 3rd installment. I have been fristrated with the entire Fever series to be truthful There is none of the engaging romance from Ms. Moning's earlier books. I loved the Highlander series and was disappointed when I got the 1st book of this series and learned she had decide to start a new series, rather than continue writing about her wonderful Kelter Druids. I keep hoping this series will get better, but it just hasn't. The main character is a total ditz--she behaves like a fifteen years old and has about as much common sense. She is just not likable, there is no chemistry between the characters and the plot just isn't going anywhere. And what is with the rape scene???? I think Ms Moning needs to end this series and go back to Paranormal romance..... 2008-10-26

Fae Fiasco
Having been a KMM fan for years, I cannot believe the direction she has taken with this series. This latest installment was the worst of the three and having read the first two, I loaned this one from the library just in case it was as disappointing as the others. I'm so glad I didn't waste my money on this one!
From the beginning of this series it has seemed like a Buffy the Vampire Slayer ripoff only Mac doesn't get any more skills - she just eats unseelie flesh to get strength. There really is no plot, just a very long series of incidents that supposedly all have meaning. Another very troubling aspect is the McKelter references - is there really a need for them in this book or is she just stumping for readership of her earlier (and much better!) books?
KMM then ends this travesty with a very disturbing and overlong gang bang against the heroine. I'm not sure but maybe she was just trying to get a sex scene in the book and this is all she could come up with?
Needless to say, I won't be wasting my time with the rest of this series -even as a loan from the library. My time is worth much more and would be better spent elsewhere.

Faefever
This is the third installment of the Fever series. It was as good as the first two, maybe even better. I still want to know exactly who or what Jerico Barons is. I just wish they came closer together I have to re-read part of the prior books to remember exactly where whose is who. 2008-10-23
