Zen Golf: Mastering the Mental Game
Joseph Parent truly succeeds in integrating what he has learned from his Zen teachers and teachings with one's round of golf. His book is a must for all golfers, beginners and experts alike, duffers and long hitters. Points that Parent makes including breathing, putting beyond the cup, and not hitting "anyways shots" will truly improve one's round of golf. It will also impact a reader's attitude toward hitting the ball... from approach to follow-through, from driving to putting. Zen Golf is a great book and the unabridged book on CD is a must for travelers. The book has my highest recommendation. 2005-08-03

Just what I needed
I recommend this book for the player that has plateaued and is frustrated on the course more than they are elated. I am having more fun on the course (and playing better) with the concepts learned in Zen Golf. When you complete the book, you may say to yourself- nice light read. It is only until you notice your changed behavior on the course that you have a new appreciation for the game and your ability. 2005-08-02

Great applicable information for golfers of any level
Truly an outstanding book on one of the most elusive elements of an already difficult game. This book is most helpful in not only identifying the things that one must do to be in a productive frame of mind, it also provides the means for getting there that anyone can apply with a little practice. 2005-06-22

Excellent!
You don't have to be Buddhist to appreciate the lessons in this book. Seriously, I have read this book three times before three different golf seasons, and it has always made me focus on the important aspects of golf. It teaches some really great ways to calm and relax yourself as well as some tips on how to play smarter golf.
Buy it- you will be happy about it.

Good book on mental aspect of playing golf
This book does a good job of giving you techniques on how induce good positive thinking and trust into your swing. Although this is not a book on golf swing technique, it helped me on how I should mentally approach playing golf. I also liked Bob Rotella's "Putting Out of Your Mind" for mental golf techniques. The best book on the market for golf instruction is the following: "The Ultimate Golf Instruction Guide: Key Techniques for Becoming a Zero Handicap Golfer or Better" (ISBN 1933023090). The Ultimate Golf Instruction Guide helped me to improve my scores greatly. I now can hit about 11 greens in regulation per round on average because of this book--well worth the money. 2004-11-10
