GREAT BOOK!!!!!!
Inkdeath is a fabulous conclusion to the Inkheart book series. It follows the adventures of a father and daughter with the gift to allow characters to come in and out of books and their wife/mother. The Folchart's world is set in 21st century England. There are many descriptions of the Inkworld, so it is easy to picture what it looks like. I picture it like medieval England, although it isn't. Cornelia Funke described the character's emotions so well that I could feel what they were feeling. For example, when Mo got trapped in Ombra castle, I felt that same worry that Meggie and Resa had. I thought he might never come out! People who loved Inkheart and/or Inkspell would definitely love Inkdeath. Like the other two, it lets you escape from the real world to the one of fantasy. All in all, Inkdeath is a captivating book. It has ups and downs and twists and turns. It is like a short roller coaster that you never want to stop riding. There were no faults that I could find with it. I want to read it again someday!

One in a million
A book this complex and moving, doesn't come along very often. This story is truly something special.

Not a dust collector
I have a very small library in my classroom. Currently I have 7 students who are on a waiting list to read it. I won't be able to read it until summer. Oh, well!

ink-awesome!
wow. that's all i have to say! This book left me breathless. Like the other books, the detail was intricate and beautifully woven in and out of the tale. There were times when the detail started to feel a bit repetitive and times when it felt over done, but over all it was amazingly written, intoxicating with its gothic details and diverse characters. Dustfinger is my favorite character and i was excited when he came back!

The most enthralling part of this tale is it's how well Funke intertwines darkness and light so flawlessly into her writing. There were times when all felt lost, but even in its more hopeless hours, when your heart started ponding in worry for your fav characters, there was light infused in it. No matter the despair and pain the characters felt, there was never a moment when you thought there was no chance. It gives the book depth the most tales are missing, and a balanced feel.

Conclusion
I waited in anticipation for this book. I loved the previous ones and was hoping this one wouldn't disappoint and it didn't. First of all let me say that the characters are NOT created for us. The author is sharing herself with us. The characters are hers. With that said, I took my time with the book and read it as slowly as I could. I loved it. I haven't anticipated a book this much since Harry Potter. Kudos to the author for a wonderful and enduring series.
