Stroke Me
I suffered a stroke that was on the opposite side, than hers. I found that I could identify with a lot of what she said. Chapters two and three were a little hard for me, but overall for a stroke survivor this helped me understand and realize that someone else experienced the same euphoria as well as halucinations, It was facinating to see how the brain works and overcomes these difficult obsticles. 2008-12-15

My Stroke of Insight
What an excellent book - a must for everybody to read. I am grateful that I bought the book - I am now sharing it with others, who after reading it, want to purchase their own copy. Colleen Engle 2008-12-14

Great Book Describing Recovery From Brain Injury, Stroke
Dr. Bolt Taylor describes her ordeal as a victom of a stroke and her way back. Unable to speak, read, write, or walk, she shares her unique insite into the brain and it's capacity to recover.
Although it took her 8 years to recover, she believes it was the best thing to happen to her.
I highly recommend this book to the family and friends of brain injury, including stroke patients.

Everyone should ready this book
I was very interested in reading this book because my mother had a brain aneurysm four years ago. It is an amazing account of one woman's journey and incredible that she lived to retell her story. For anyone that has wondered what is going on in people's minds that are in a coma, this is enlightening.
I would recommend everyone to read this book.
