The book I remember most from my childhood
There is something about this book that has stuck with me for years. I'm almost 30 years old, and still the words "to take a bath in one big tub with soap all over-scrub, scrub, scrub!" are as clear to me as they were when I was about five years old. This is just a wonderfully simple and fun book that I imagine most kids would want to read every single night before bedtime like I did. Clearly the benefits of storybook time with kids works considering how well I still remember lines from this! I highly recommend! 2008-03-25

Simple and colorful
Lately, I've been looking for bedtime stories. It was a pleasant surprise to find another fun book to read. The language flows so nicely. The sun has set not long ago, now everybody goes below... ...the moon is high the sea is deep, they rock and rock and rock to sleep... I'm getting sleepy already. 2008-02-26

A Bedtime Classic
All three of my children memorized this book before they could speak! They mimed brushing their teeth, scrubbing in the tub, and rocking to sleep. Sandra Boynton is awesome! A fun little rhyming book that is perfect for bedtime. 2008-02-15

Great for infants!
My daughter LOVES this book! She is 4 months old, and we have been reading it to her for a month now as part of the "going to bed" routine. It is simple and fun, and the rhyme includes things she can relate to - taking a bath, getting pajamas on (both of which are also part of her bedtime routine), etc. Even when she is fussy, her face lights up when we get this book out, and she quiets down for one run through. She has several other bedtime books that are very popular, but she will not sit through them. Most are too long for an infant, or have content that is not as meaningful to her. 2008-01-29

This has a permanent place in our bedtime routine
All of Sandra Boynton books have become favorites of my 2.5 year old. He knows them by heart and recites them. Our only problem is making him chose only 2 before bed. If he had his way, we would have to read all of them at least 3 times each! 2008-01-22
