The perfect one.
I think it's the best swing manual. It's very detailed and very tecnical but the illustration of mr. Ravielli are very very clear and help the writer (a legend of golf) to explain in a very clear way.
Everyone who want to taste the "spirit of the game" has to read this book!

Its time has passed
This book is one of the classic golf instructional books. There are numerous books out today that do a much better job of teaching the golf swing.
If you want to buy this book because it is a classic, then by all means buy it. If you are new to golf and looking for your first book to help you learn the golf swing, look elsewhere.

If you're a golfer, it's a MUST have!!!!
Great reference book. I am still reading it, but it is making so much sense. Maybe i will end up being a decent golfer?!?!! 2008-01-14

Great book along with illustrations
I've been playing golf for about 3 years. I've had a couple of lessons from a couple of different instructors, but the book gave me an overall better understanding of the golf swing. It has great illustrations that are great for visual learners. There are plenty of books out there on how to hit the ball farther, straighter and more accurately, but i've found that mastering the basics is the first step to a better golf game. Hogan gives examples from how to grip the club and how to finish the swing. Really good read for any golfer! 2008-01-12

Decrease your handicap!
I've bought 4-5 golf books and "Ben Hogan's 5 lessons" is definitely the best of them. Any mid or high handicapper should be able to decrease his/her handicap score by a few points thanks to that book. I personally dropped my handicap by 4 in 4 months...
The book describes the fundamentals of the golf swing without wasting time on the small details that are not that important for the final result (your score!). I recommend the book without hesitation.
