Vampire Chronicles: Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned (Anne Rice)

I guess you could say Lestat is the reason I enjoy reading! I hadn't picked up a book in years until a friend told me about "Interview." Being a journalist originally from Louisiana... I admired the way Rice made the concept of the interview so realistic! My all-time favorite book is Lestat, but I thoroughly enjoyed the history & final battle of "Queen"... & watching Lestat struggle with his own humanity in Tale of the Body Thief was a true page-turning experience! Rice's 1st four Vampire Chronicles brought Lestat to life and for that I'm eternally greatful... While I didn't care for "Memnoch the Devil"... the earlier adventures of Lestat will keep me coming back for more. He makes you want to believe in Vampires! Forget him? NEVER!

I thought the twisting plots and attention to detail were very good. Lestat is a character anybody could learn to love. He's witty and uncontrolable. Lestat is what makes these books bestseller material. The concept of the life of these vampires are amazing. I haven't been able to put these books down. I can't wait to read the New Tales of the Vampires. No doubt they will be just as good as the Chronicles.

If you want your soul to sing, I highly recommend reading these books. If you were not interested in the occult before, you will be when you finish reading these novels.

I would rate this book a "10" being the best. Because how she used incredible detail in the ways she explains how things look sound or feel to the character/s. So I would recommend this book to any reader out there who likes reading scary stories, about vampires, or is interested in them.

Once I started reading them I couldn't put them down. The books gave me a new understanding of the world of vampires to say the least. Ane Rice wrote them beautifly! I have read them three times or more!
