Quintessential cat. The very essence of the intruiging feline. A wonderful selection of photographs that serve both as a pragmatic reminder of the date - and at the same time daily renewed delight as each photograph reveals itself. No contrived, cute kitty poses. Just, as stated, essential essence of cat in all its wonderful variations.

Each photograph is accompanied by a quotation, sometimes whimsical, sometimes humorous. A few examples : Leaping cat : " Cats do not have to be shown how to have a good time, for they are unfailingly ingenious in that respect. " " If wishes were fishes. " Siamese draped gracefully over a a beautiful chair : " This long limbed colourpoint Siamese is remniscent of an elegant dancer. " A new photo, a new quote to look forward to every day.

The presentation is compact - 16cms.wide,18 cms.high in a clear plastic casing that shows the photos to best effect. Very stable, the calendar is easily arranged on desk. shelf, table. Each new page is displayed as the previous page slides in easily at the back of the casing. Format reverses mid-year, so the calendar is not too bulky. Easy to handle.

I have purchased this calendar for three years now - for myself and for cat loving friends. It never fails to delight. And you can look forward in anticipation to see what each new day will bring . In summary : Highly recommended !!!

I love this product. I bought two, one for the office and one for home.

Four years ago a friend gave me this calendar as a Christmas gift and I have purchased one for myself every year since. As other reviewers have said, the photos are beautiful and the little messages are informative.

I'm a teacher and keep this calendar on top of a filing cabinet. One of my students, one who failed my class last year because she didn't do any work, has been always been very hard to reach. She finally spotted this calendar and goes to look at the photo and read the comment everyday. It turns out that she has several cats at home. Occasionally she has asked if she could keep one of the photos (of course!) and we've actually had conversations about our cats., not our content area, but our cats. I wish I could tell you her scholarship has dramatically improved but, sadly, no. However, she tries a little and at least talks to me now. Is it because of the calendar or because she doesn't want to spend another year in my class? Hard to say. Some kids are very hard to connect with and this calendar was the one thing that worked for this student.

This year I'm also buying the dog calendar for my little nephews who are huge dog lovers.

If you like cats, you will enjoy this calender. I have purchased this for at least four years and enjoy seeing the different cats and little bits of knowledge each day.
