The Boomer Burden
I wish Julie Hall had written this book 20 years ago when I was dealing with aging parents. Now I'm grateful that I'll be able to follow her advice and spare my children problems. Of course, I'm planning to give my children their own copy of the book.

Creative and Motivational
This book serves as a creative way to look at something most choose not to acknowledge before it's happening. I am the product of a Baby Boomer and never even considered the "stuff" my parents accumulating really affecting me. This book is a great tool to get you working on something that takes time and a lot of understanding and care. A great conversation starter for approaching a subject that is under recognized. It not only deals with the physical cleaning but the emotional cleaning that takes place. Thank you for writing and educational, emotional and even comedic book that really gave me and my family a fresh perspective on organizing our life.

Christmas Presents
The Boomer Burden by Julie Hall.

Pleanty of good advice. I bought 4 copies for my 4 daughter and sons-in-laws for Christmas -- or for my wake which ever comes first.

Bringing it Home
My own mother recently developed dementia and was moved from a fully furnished two-bedroom apartment into a single Assisted Living room. She is in North Carolina and I am in New York, so the task of clearing out her papers, furniture, art, and jewelry fell to me. With limited time and storage space of my own, I asked - no, pleaded - for help, and was thankfully referred to Julie Hall herself and her book. The book was an invaluable resource both before and during the process, and I was amazed by Julie Hall's vast knowledge and experience. She helped me through a very difficult time, and one that I know many of my peers are, or will soon, face. I highly recommend this book to anyone with aging parents.

The Bommers Burden
Julie does an incredible job of using actual stories to relate take-a-ways we can use in our own dealings with both our parents and our own children. This is such an emotionally charged area, and Julie navigates the emotional mine-fields so well. I will give this book to all my clients to help them appropriately deal with helping their parents share and pass on their legacy to their children. Great life lessions are shared in every chapter. Once you read it, you will want to send a copy to each brother and sister you have!
