A Thrilling Novel
HP and the Deathly Hallows is one of the greatest finishes to a book series I have ever read. Now that I have finished the series, I have forgotten the details of many of the novels, but I can still remember the details of the Deathly Hallows. Ron leaving Hermoine and Harry. Harry getting captured in his pride. The escape and the confrontation with Voldemort at Hogwarts. Wow! I have read several series, but this finish is different. Usually, the building material is great, but the last novel is a letdown. This book was exciting and satisfying. JK Rowling does not disappoint at all. This series is great and I recommend it to everyone.

Incredible Conclusion to a great adventure
What an incredible conclusion to an amazing and very captivating story. All questions are answered in this book. I couldn't put the book down.

Sure Enough, Ms. Rowling's Stuff Isn't Fluff
Good fiction, such as this, entertains as well as informs the reader. Ms. Rowling has done a remarkable job of creating a highly suspenseful and thought-provoking series about the human condition. I'm glad I waited until the final book was released before reading the entire series. If you begin with the 'Year One' book and read them in sequence, you will witness the maturation of the characters as well as the evolution of Ms. Rowling as a creative force. She delves into each of the major characters to give you an understanding of why they are the way they are. Even the paternalistic Dumbledore and the evil Lord Voldemort are well rounded characters who struggle with the burdens of their past actions. Complex, entertaining and especially in Year Seven, brutally realistic about how death inflicted during war can be very random and unfair. Ms. Rowling's Harry Potter series is simply outstanding.

A great conclusion to a great series
This is the last of the Harry Potter series and my favorite. Although it starts out slowly, it quickly picks up momentum and peaks with a battle of epic proportions. My only problem is that the epilogue did not answer all of the questions I had.
If you like books with action and adventure, I would recommend this book to you.

Into the annals
With this final episode of the Harry Potter saga, the series has cemented its place in the annals of classic children's literature. Deathly Hallows is Rowling's masterpiece, probably her best writing to date. While following Harry on his quest to meet at last, face to face, his destiny, readers are treated to not only a fearsome new adventure, but to a fuller understanding of the meanings that underlie all previous enigmas and challenges. Rowling has created characters that run the gamut of human strengths and weaknesses, each one credibly alive and memorable. While her plots could be tighter in places, she has "quilled" a new version of the ageless myths for our own age. And she's nailed the speech patterns and vocabulary of everyone from school kids to venerable sages.
Even if you've read Hallows before, if you're in the mood for a real literary treat, listen to the unabridged audio edition narrated by the incomparable Jim Dale. But be sure to set aside several quiet hours to listen to the last quarter of the book in one sitting. Priceless.
