The Official Study Guide for All SAT Subject Tests (Real Sats)

This is a very generalized book covering a wide range of topics. I think that it was a very smart idea to have one book that covered all the SAT subjects--however, the subjects are very generalized and don't teach you much beyond what you already know or can solve. If you've had some previous experience with an AP class in the subject that you're wanting to test in, then this book is a nice, overall study guide, but don't expect to learn or teach yourself anything in preparation of the subject tests--like I said, it is very generalized, and some concepts are never fully understood unless they are taught in a classroom setting.

I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas in 2006. I bought the wrong one, but she could use it anyway. She is a Junior.

If you have no other ways to prepare for the exams, you can use this book. But keep in mind that this is only an overview of the exams, not the actual exams, though the book said the questions were made by the testmakers of the real tests. The questions inside the tests don't have the same difficulty of the real tests. The College Board has reserved the real tests from the past to the educators who have access to the resources. The real exams are much harder. And I doubt that finishing studying this book will prepare you for the real exams in any way.

Perfect book for any student who is looking for an all inclusive study guide.

If you have a child who needs specific concentrations in a particular area, this is the book for them. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars to achieve high scores, just a few extra dedicated, disciplined hours.
