I am not an artist but I am a person seeking to work with illustrators. This book has helped me greatly to understand their business, their mindset and the steps they take in creating their product. If the reader is a person looking to hire an illustrator it is best to understand it is very pro-illustrator and may not be the exact standard to use when figuring out how much to hire them for. It is a business after all. But it will help one deal with artists equitably.

It contains all the necessary information one needs to know to build successful relationships with clients. Creating art for a living is
great but without knwoing how to put limits on the amount of changes
a client is entitled to and how many comps are included in the base price
causes problems. This book spells out everything.
