This book is a wonderful example of the way God desires relationship with us. The way God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit relate is awesome. All religion and doctrine aside, he just wants to relate to us.

Arthur, William Young does an excellent job of making you "think out the box". I have already recommended to many of my friends......

I love this story! It is an amazing representation of how God feels about us. You will not be able to put this book down!

i am in the process of reading this book and i have found it very good. while its not exact theology, i do not think its intended to be. i think sometimes its easy to sift books like these through our own theological lenses. its easy but not always right,even though we may think we are. i noticed a few opinions questioned the writers inclusivism of other religions as being a road to God. when i got to that passage it said some "were" buddist,muslim,etc. i think the key word there was "were". the writer did not say God said "are" these other religions. so i think we must be careful not to make a fictional book pass such muster as to whether it squares entirely with the bible. many are the people who worship the bible and think they are worshipping God. its an easy thing to do. still, a great book that gets you to thinking about God and where he is or isn't in our lives

This book is essentially a theological message, one that diverges a bit from orthodox Christianity. And that's okay, and that's probably part of the attraction so many have found in this book. However, by itself, I doubt many persons would have read this theological treatise, myself included, and would have given it a poor rating. However, encapsulated in the sentimental story of the abducted and murdered girl, whatever theology would have been put inside would probably have worked, and hence my high rating.
