For Children and Adults alike. .
I initially purchased this book for my grandsons but will now be purchasing another copy to share with them. This book is a wonderful reminder of how easy it is to impact someone's life, either positively or negatively. A great tool for character education that lends itself easily to hands-on activities. 2008-02-07

Wonderful book!
This is a great book for pre school and elementary school children to understand how bullying can negatively affect others. It also shows how powerfully you can affect someone when you do something nice. The illustrations are bright, beautiful and engaging and the message is simple but so important. We all need our buckets filled on a regular basis. As an elementary school teacher's aide we use the concepts in the book with the children on a daily basis. We find that children really understand and enjoy filling the buckets of others. I gave copies of the book to my nieces and nephews and included some small plastic buckets and heart shaped beads so that they could have a visual and tactile experience of what it's like to fill the buckets of family members as well as having their own buckets filled. Please consider purchasing this beautiful book, you won't be sorry. 2008-01-12

Great book- highly recommend!
This book is the Theme, if you will, for my children's school. It puts into perspective how kids can think of others first, and it is amazing how much kids want to respond. My kids were so excited about this whole concept, I had to get a copy of this book for home. This is a great resource to teach kids how to NOT be selfish. My children look for ways to fill buckets and they feel so good about themselves when they do. 2007-12-31

Good Book for parent and child to share
Serious content to nurture talk between parent and child, yet all within the grasp of the little one. The drawings are fascinating! The expression on the characters will stimulate the discussion on the feeling level. It was a gift, and dearly appreciated by father and son. 2007-11-21
