Soul Wisdom: Practical Soul Treasures to Transform Your Life (Soul Power)

Like Eckhart Tolle's "The New Earth" and "A Course in Miracles" Dr. Zhi Gang Sha's book "Soul Power: Practical Soul Treasures to Transform Your Life" has the power to change lives.
He says when we go beyond "mind over matter" to "soul over matter" we have the power to transform ourselves and the consciousness of humanity. His book not only guides us through the conscious healing of our own body, mind, heart and spirit but also the earth's consciousness to create more love, peace and harmony.
Dr. Zhi Gang Sha, a western and traditional Chinese medical doctor, says, "There are countless souls on Mother Earth -- souls of human beings, souls of animals, souls of other living things, and souls of inanimate things. Everyone and everything has a soul." He says the purpose of life is to serve and everyone and everything is a universal servant. This Spiritual Law is named the "Law of Universal Service." When we offer unconditional service, we receive unlimited blessing.
The Soul Power of humankind, animals, healing angels, and all universes have the power to heal and rejuvenate. The top leader is the Divine Creator and manifester of all universes.
The purpose of Dr. Zhi Gang Sha's book is therefore to download a Divine Soul Language to transform and enlighten our lives so we too can become Divine Soul servants.

This book is for the serious searcher. If transformation and soul growth is your objective, this is definitely a book to read on your journey. This is a resource book, it is not light reading. Taking copious notes and going back to re-read key ideas and concepts may be required. But again, we are talking about major soul, mind, and body transformation and healing. It does not happen overnight and focus is required. The bonus CD, Soul Song, is especially meaningful and helpful. Healing is a key concept throughout- healing of self, others, the earth, the universe and beyond. Dr. ZHI GANG SHA offers the means to achieve this healing in his book SOUL WISDOM.

A BIT TOO SELF INVOLVED FOR ME AND THERE ARE BETTER SELF-HELPS OUT THERE. TO BE FAIT I HAVE NOT READ ANY OTHER BOOKS BY THIS AUTHOR . PERHAPS THEY ARE MORE SUCCINT , WITHOUT SO MUCH REPETITION .

The promotional material for the book promises helpful insights from Buddhism and other eastern spiritual traditions combined with "healing and personal transformation." The actual spiritual insights, while occasionally present, are too few and far between. The whole self psychology of the "Me generation" that fueled the New Age movement with all its egocentric psychological indulgences is more at the core of this book than any great spiritual revelations, however- by my reading anyway.

It also comes with an accompanying CD that I did find relaxing. This book may be worth a reading if you enjoy this sort of motivational/self-psychology type of writing.

I have read the Preface, Introduction, and Chapter 1. Sadly, I just can't get into it. Here are the key premises that I have learned: Sha is a servant to the Divine and his purpose in life is to serve humanity; there will be "divine downloads" located in various chapters of the book; everyone and everything has a soul, we all share a soul language, etc. The language is quite hokie...more like a transcript from his conferences rather than a well-edited book.

I will read a few more chapters to give it the benefit of the doubt but I probably would not have gotten this book if I had a chance to read the Preface and Introduction at a book store.
